Operations Manager   

Job Summary 

 

Join a small, innovative, high-production team empowering investors to align their assets with the next sustainable and inclusive economy. 

The top priority of this role is to implement the day-to-day operations of the firm and support on a variety of important tasks including compliance, marketing, portfolio company engagement efforts, and investor reporting. 

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the discipline and drive to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We value teamwork, honesty, positivity and high moral standards. Prior experience in financial services is preferred. 

Position Description 

Title: Operations Manager 

Type: Full Time 

Location: 1212 Preservation Park Way, Suite 200, Oakland, California 94612 (currently all staff are working remotely)

Application Window: Open until filled 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

● Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures

● Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices

● Day-to-day operations of the firm, including organizing weekly team meetings 

● Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale

● Manage budgets and forecasts

● Work with bookkeeper to maintain company financials and file annual tax returns

● Recruit and onboard new staff

● Implement, streamline, and maintain technology solutions

● Prepare, file, and maintain corporate records 

● Review and draft legal agreements 

● Complete Requests for Information and Due Diligence Questionnaires ● Prepare quarterly/annual compliance reporting and ADV updates 

● Complete documentation for industry certifications 

● Responsible for quarterly database reporting 

● Support portfolio engagement campaigns 

● Create and manage pipeline of potential platforms for product availability 

● Attend annual conferences for ongoing professional development 

● Assist in preparation of marketing collateral including quarterly fact sheets, presentation slides, and investment reports

Chief Strategy Officer

Job Summary

The top priority of this role is to identify and execute growth opportunities for our company and portfolios. This  will formulate and monitor execution of the company’s strategy and associated plans, programs, and projects in support of Nia’s vision, mission and goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

● Leads the development of the strategic plan/framework for the organization, and the detailed current year operating plan, while adhering to direction set by the CEO 

● Collaborate with the team to develop a capital plan in line with the strategy

● Drive strategy for new portfolio and investment product offerings

● Facilitates the execution of the strategy by working collaboratively with the other team members and ensuring that the strategy is communicated and easily understood by all throughout the organization

● Ensures that strategic actions are completed at various levels to achieve desired results

● Evaluate market forecast and long-term trends, collect competitive intelligence, drive cross-functional business processes, and maintain business model innovation

● Ensure suitable metrics are in place to measure performance and progress

● Acts as a key advisor to Chief Executive Officer on critical changes in the competitive landscape, marketplace and external business environment

● Oversees the development and implementation of a knowledge management infrastructure and leads in the management of organizational knowledge as a strategic asset to further the organization's goals
