Sam Howard

Equity Analyst

Sam joined the portfolio management team at Nia in 2024 as an Equity Analyst. With ten years of industry experience, Sam plays a key role in discovering investment opportunities and assisting with portfolio construction for the firm. Prior to joining Nia, Sam was an Analyst and Portfolio Manager at GoalVest Advisory, where he was responsible for making equity investments and portfolio construction. He was a key contributor in building GoalVest from a startup into a larger business, with assets under management growing by more than five-fold during his tenure.

Prior to joining GoalVest, Sam served as an Analyst at Natixis Global Asset Management, where he performed in-depth, bottom-up fundamental investment analysis, met company management teams, and made investment recommendations in the consumer sector for a fund that grew to over $10 billion in assets under management. Before joining Natixis, Sam was part of the Corporate Advisory team at Deloitte, working on corporate activities primarily in the consumer sector.

Sam has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney where he was part of the Elite Athlete Program for Track and Field. He likes to read, remains active in his spare time, and continues to take an interest in health and sport.
