Erika Andraca, MPA

Chief Compliance Officer and Impact Director

Erika rejoined Nia in 2023 as Chief Impact Officer & Compliance Director, leading Nia’s impact reporting strategy and supporting our compliance program. She brings a wealth of experience in the nonprofit, public, and private sectors. 

 

Most recently, Erika was the Senior Housing Manager at BALANCE, a non-profit organization working to end generational poverty through housing counseling and financial education. In that capacity, she had the opportunity to work on numerous local, state, and national programs to help clients access affordable rental housing, achieve homeownership, and keep their homes.

In her previous time at Nia, Erika dedicated four years to overseeing operations and client services, laying the foundation for Nia’s work in democratizing access to impact investing. Erika has a passion for economic empowerment and financial education, and believes that investing with our values should be accessible to all,

especially those who have been systematically denied access to economic participation. She believes this work is imperative to bridging the wealth gap for historically marginalized communities, thus building a stronger, more sustainable, and inclusive economy. 

 

Erika holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from San Francisco State University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Government & History from Claremont McKenna College, and a housing counseling certification from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

 

Erika lives in San Leandro, California with her family and dog. She loves playing soccer, hiking the East Bay, and cheering on the U.S. Women’s National soccer team.
