Paloma Mate-Kodjo
Communications and Operations Associate
Paloma joined the Nia team in 2023 as our Operations and Communications associate. Paloma keeps communications running smoothly at Nia. She assists with client outreach and creative projects including website and social media efforts. Prior to Nia, Paloma helped to establish a civil rights and discrimination law firm where she was able to apply her passion for social justice.
Paloma graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology & Spanish. She was awarded the Brenda Jones Change Agent Award after presenting three years at the Iowa State Conference on Race and Ethnicity.
In her personal life, Paloma lives her values by maintaining a vegan ethos and strives for a low waste lifestyle. Paloma enjoys exploring the world with her family, finding second-hand treasures, and baking delicious treats to share. Paloma is excited to be a part of this team of change makers.
