Paula Virginia Castillo Barros

Content and Operations Associate

Paula joined the Nia team as a summer intern June of 2020. She is currently a studying Environmental Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires. Prior to Nia, Paula has been a voice for sustainability, starting a recycling and food-donation project in her community in Caracas, Venezuela.

Paula is passionate about working toward a more ethical and sustainable future. After graduating she intends to focus on biochemical and environmental research to help facilitate a healthier relationship between people and our planet.

Born and raised in Venezuela and currently living in Argentina, Paula enjoys spending time outdoors, writing, drawing, and playing her cuatro (a  traditional Venezuelan string instrument). She has admired Nia’s work since she was a child, and is now overjoyed to be contributing to the team.
